The effulgent land of Vrindavan is made of the nectarean ocean of love of God. This incomparable ocean of transcendental mellows has appeared within this world out of her own glories. O friends, please worship Sri Krishna, the matchless flatterer of Sri Radhika, the daughter of King Vrsabhanu, for He is expert in all arts of love and most dear to the cowherd girls of Vraja.”
(Text 61 Sri Vrndavana Mahimamrta by Srila Prabhodhananda Saraswati)

“I offer my respectful obeisances to that indescribable land of Vrindavan, which bestows mercy upon surrendered souls even though they are full of faults. This abode destroys their offenses and awards them the goal of life.”
(Text 65 Sri Vrindavan Mahimamrta by Srila Prabhodhananda Saraswati)

On this earth, Vrindavana, ninety miles southeast of Delhi, is a replica of that supreme Goloka Vrindavana located in the spiritual sky. When Krishna descended on this earth, He sported on that particular tract of land known as Vrindavana, comprising about eighty-four square miles in the district of Mathura, India.”
(A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada, comment from Bhagavad Gita 8.21)

“The cultivation of Krishna Consciousness is possible where great devotees live together and constantly engage in hearing and chanting the glories of the Lord. In a holy place like Vrindavan, there are many devotees constantly engaged in hearing and chanting the glories of the Lord. If one gets the chance to hear from pure devotees in such a place, allowing the constant flow of the river of nectar to come from the mouths of pure devotees, then the cultivation of Krishna Consciousness becomes very easy.”
(A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada, comment from Srimad Bhagavatam 4.29.39-40)

We are now forming groups of sincere souls who would like to deepen their understanding of Krishna Consciousness by visiting Vrindavan, Sri Krishna’s eternal abode. During the winter months Vrindavan is quiet and peaceful giving one the opportunity to relish its essence. If you are interested in coming to Vrindavan during the months of November - March please write to us at atmaramadasa@yahoo.com. Please specify which month you would like to come. We will get back to you about the details, such as the exact dates during that month and place to stay. This is a service done by devotion; however donations are appreciated to facilitate the project.

We will have the chance to learn about Bhakti Yoga by practical experience through:
- Performing Japa Meditation
- Participating in Kirtan
- Attending temple arati (worship ceremonies)
- Developing devotional sadhana (steady spiritual practice)
- Hearing lectures on Srimad Bhagavatam
- Visiting holy sites where Krishna performed His pastimes
- Making Parikrama of Vrindavan (circumbulation)
- Worshiping sacred river Yamuna - sunset arati
- Performing charity – feeding the poor, children & cows
- Learning about the sacred history of Vrindavana & its Vaisnava Saints
- Visiting original temples established by six Goswamis
- Participating in cultural programs

The essence of Vrindavan can only be revealed by those who have realized its true nature. Vrindavan is the spiritual world within this material world, being that it is the place where Radha and Krishna sported their transcendental pastimes. It is a rare fortune to be able to enter inside of this most sacred place. By the mercy of our Guru Maharaj, A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the nectar of this holy dham has become accessible to devotees all over the world. By even spending just a few days there one can purify one’s existence and develop the seed of bhakti in one’s heart.

During the last few years, as a result of speaking about Vrindavan during my programs, many yoga practitioners have awakened the desire to know more about this holy land and to experience it first hand. As Vrindavan can often be misunderstood it is my hope to develop this service in order to help new visitors see Vrindavan through the eyes of devotion and develop an appreciation of the holy dham.

Since Vrindavan is a holy place, one must respect the purity of the atmosphere by abstaining from intoxication (includes alcohol & cigarettes), illicit sex, gambling, and meat eating (including eggs). Thank you.
